The beauty of the handmade lies in its imperfections.

It Takes a Village!

A handloom is never the work of just one pair of hands. Behind every weave is an ecosystem — families preparing the yarn, setting the loom, dyeing the threads, weaving, finishing and preparing the fabric for its journey ahead.

Our story

Vedyaa Looms was born from two ideas close to our heart — Vedha, our heritage and traditions, and Vidya, the knowledge we pass forward.

A curation of India’s rich textile heritage, paired with a desire to learn, share and educate about the fabrics, weaves and people behind them.

Because a handloom saree is never just a piece of fabric.

Behind every weave is an entire ecosystem — families preparing the yarn, hands setting up the loom, colours being dyed, and weavers patiently bringing thread after thread together. In many communities across India, weaving is a way of life, with skills and stories passed down through generations.

At Vedyaa Looms, we bring together these beautiful traditions and the knowledge that comes with them.

We curate handwoven textiles from across India, while sharing the stories of their origins, the techniques behind them, the artisans who create them and the communities that keep these traditions alive.

We believe that when we understand what we wear, we value it differently.

And perhaps, in knowing the story behind a weave, we can choose to wear it more consciously, preserve its legacy and support the hands that keep it alive.

Vedyaa Looms — where heritage meets knowledge, and every weave has a story to tell.
